Music Together® Babies Class

The one-semester Music Together Babies Class was created especially for families with infants under nine months old. That’s right: It’s never too early to start our music classes!

Maybe you’ve noticed that your baby responds when you play a song in the car or sing to soothe him. Babies are naturally musical—and you don’t have to be a great singer or dancer yourself to nurture their love of music. In this music class for babies, your Music Together teacher will show you how you can support your baby’s music development through simple and fun activities. You’ll learn lots of musical ways to connect with your little one through music, and you’ll bond with the other new parents in your class, too.

Babies Class Online

How does our Babies class work online? Music Together classes are designed - both for in-person and online class - to enable and empower you to be your child's teacher. We encourage you to set the screen where you can see it, and position your child so that he can see only you. We will guide you as you interact, play, and bond with your child.

“My daughter was a colicky baby who was difficult to soothe. Although she was held, rocked, crooned, and sung to constantly, nothing seemed to help . . . until the 'Hello Song' entered our lives. The 'Hello Song' could immediately stop crying spells, even if just for a short time, and other songs from the Tambourine collection had a similar effect! We were immediately hooked!” —Nicole Y., Long Island, NY

Fall 2020 Babies Classes

We're thrilled to have the co-author of the Music Together curriculum, Dr. Lili Levinowitz, teaching our babies class this fall. She has been a driving force in evolving the Babies class curriculum to maximize it's benefit in the online setting. Music Together Babies Class Online begins the week of September 14, 2020, and meet live via zoom for 30 minutes once a week for ten weeks. These zoom classes will not be recorded, and will have open times before and after class to allow you to meet the other families and get to know one another. Families will also have access to one 15-minute pre-recorded class each week. You are welcome to schedule a drop-in to up to 10 additional classes (Mixed-Age) over the course of the semester, as space allows. Online bonus content such as DIY musical instrument craft videos, parent education videos, bonus play-alongs, and activity and coloring sheets, will be available on-demand until the end of the semester. Families will receive a Songbook, CD, download code to access the music on the free Hello Everybody app, Growth Chart to track your child's musical development, and Music and Your Child program handbook.

Join us for class with your baby and set her on a path to a lifetime of music enjoyment---and start building friendships with other new parents in your neighborhood.
